Rat boy is at it again.Taking an old cue from the House Committee on Un-American Activities, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee Representative Waxman (D) intends to hold hearings to intimidate and vilify Caterpillar, Verizon, AT&T and Deere.
It seems these firms have publicly made it known that the newly passed health care reform bill will have an adverse effect on their bottom lines. Caterpillar claims the measure will raise their costs by $100 million just in the first year. The chairman turned Politburo chief, Waxman, has asked each of the corporate representatives to provide full documentation detailing how they arrived at their estimates. This is clearly a move to intimdate and silence any dissenting voices against the Health Care Reform act.
I say bully! go ahead and make an ass of yourself. Vilify the companies that are providing goods and services, generating revenue, and more importantly jobs. But you better make hay while the sun shines… these asinine displays of complete arrogance will be remembered come election day…
There are not too many days here lately that I get home and don’t find an impassioned plea in my email inbox from the RNC Chairman Michael Steele asking for a donation to fight off one cause or another. “Could you send us $25, $50, $100, $500 or more to the RNC today!” If you send money to the Republican Party, do you ever wonder where the money goes?
I know…. about $2000.00 of it went to take the “Young Eagles” to a lesbian-themed nightclub in West Hollywood. According to their website, the Voyeur is a “A destination for provocative revelry that combines eroticism and nightlife exclusivity. An alluring ambience designed with elegance and comfort while maintaining underground vitality.” In other words S&M shows, topless dancing and dancers simulating lesbian sex. But it doesn’t stop there, the exessive spending includes fees for private jets, car services, plush hotels, and catering Meanwhile, the RNC Chairman was missing in action on a “book tour” on company time. All in all, under this Chairman the RNC has raised less money and manged to spend more.
I was never a big fan of Steele. Like the rest of the current Republican leadership, he lacks the fire in his belly to stand up and fight for the ideals that make this Party great. Instead, he’d rather make nice and capitulate to the legacy media while throwing other conservatives ‘under the bus’ on the weekend shows. During an interview responding to the Rush Limbaugh statement about hoping that the Obama socialist agenda fails, Steele had this to say “Let’s put it into context here. Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer. Rush Limbaugh, the whole thing is entertainment. Yes, it’s incendiary, yes, it’s ugly” It’s quite a shame, I had sincere hopes that the first black man to lead the RNC would be the one to resurrect the Party of Lincoln, the “Grand Ole Party”. Now how fitting would that be?
I don’t know about you, but if I gave money to the RNC, I’d be asking for it back… But then again, I stopped throwing money down that hole, a long time ago…
Or maybe it’s just me. I was home sick today with the nasty whatever it is that is going around. So while I was laying around in my DayQuil stupor, I turned on Fox News, and there he was in all of his ignorant splendor. I got a vision of ‘Stewy’ tugging at his pants leg while a talking dog was was trying to usher him quietly out of the room. And I though to myself, “what’s the Family Guy doing on Fox news?”
But there he was, Robert Gibbs the new spokeshead for the Obama Administration, cracking jokes with the Washington Press Corps.
Does anyone else see the resemblance, or is it just me?
I have to say Frank J. from IMAO may be onto something here. We really need to have some type of controls over morons that other States and Districts put up as their Representatives. I would have to make some modifications, instead of just putting all the idiots together in one room, there needs to be seperate rooms with padded walls, and all the pudding you can eat, heaven forbid they would be put someplace where they could hurt themselves, or choke on a sandwich… read more about it here…
