One word says it all…

King of the Demagogues
douche bag   slang   \ˈdüsh\ \ˈbag also ˈbāg\

  1. : an individual who has an over-inflated sense of self worth, compounded by a low level of intellegence, behaving ridiculously in front of colleagues with no sense of how moronic he appears
  2. : see Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid

“One of the things in sequester is we cut back in training and maintenance. That’s the way sequester was written, it’s just not appropriate, Mr. President, that our military can’t train and do the maintenance necessary. These men and women were Marines who were training there in Hawthorne, and with the sequester, it’s going to cut this stuff back.”

Well there you have it, the “King of the Demagogues” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid tried his best to find a way to link the tragedy in Hawthorne with the budget cuts brought on by the sequester. The political opportunist Sen. Reid purposely politicized the tragedy, just another incident of “never let a good tragedy go to waste”. Rahm Emanuel would be proud!

Never mind the fact that Marine Corps officials stated that the exercise was planned well in advance, had nothing to do with the budget cuts and that there were no corners cut. They added  “if they couldn’t afford to have all the safety precautions into place, they wouldn’t have done the exercise”. To insinuate that the Marines cut corners because of the sequester is irresponsible. Furthermore, Col. Chris Hughes, deputy director of U.S. Marine Corps Public Affairs, said in a statement:

“The comments are unsubstantiated and certainly do not reflect the Marine Corps’ position on this matter.”

Another Marine Corps official in reply to Reid’s comments stated that he considers this nothing but pure political posturing on the backs of these dead Marines.

How much is the life of a baby worth…

… or countless thousands. How about $726,409.00?  $726,409.00 was all it took for Bart Stupak to walk away from his principles, and vote for legislation that not only contains abortion language in the bill, it appropriates $7 billion for abortion services for the next 5 years. And, the language of the Bill was purposely written to skirt around the Hyde amendment. Plus sec 1303 has language that uses federal funds to subsidize health plans that cover abortion. Oh, but wait a sec… the POTUS promised an Executive Order to prohibit federal funding of abortion.

There is no Constitutional provision or statute that explicitly permits Executive Orders, and Congress at any time may overturn an executive order by passing legislation in conflict with it or by refusing to approve funding to enforce the Executive Order.

Well done Mr Stupak, you held out for a worthless compromise. And I sure that $726,409.00 grant for rural airport renovations is just coincidental too…

On standing on principle,  Stupak told the Catholic News Agency on March 26th “The health care reform bill would have passed the House without the votes of Rep. Bart Stupak’s pro-life Democrats because House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “always carries a number of votes in her pocket.”

Hmm, the votes are there already… and… I cold vote my conscience… … … what’s behind door number 3 Bob?

When Pigs fly…

pig1There is so much pork flying out of D.C. these days, it’s enough to make your head spin. The latest Bill touts over 7,000 earmarks, from both ‘Demoncats’, and ‘Republicons’. It was signed without fanfare, and out of sight on the news cameras by none other than the “anti-pork” President himself. Just spit balling here, but I’ll bet they didn’t want the cameras to show Pelosi and Reid with the President in a half-nelson forcing him to sign what he himself said was a “bad bill”.

We know who wears the pants on the the “Hill” don’t we Nancy?

Whatever you do, don’t get caught looking up with your mouth open…
